It’s that time of year again! Top online poker brand PokerStars has announced that the World Championship of Online Poker will be back in action this September. Taking place from the 2nd till the 17th, the WCOOP will include a ton of tournament events and over $116 million in guaranteed prize money.

What’s On The Schedule:

Among the tournament events is of course, the much-anticipated Main Event. Set for September 16th, the Main Event will offer players a whopping $10 million in guaranteed prize money. Players can buy-in to the event on two levels with the highest guarantee of $10 million for the $5,200 buy-in. PokerStars is also offering a $55 buy-in for the Main Event, with $1 million up for grabs.

PokerStars announces new WCOOP schedule

PokerStars has decided that for this year’s WCOOP, they will be taking a cue from the Spring Championship of Online Poker. There will be tiered buy-ins for each event so players can choose to buy-in on the low end, middle or high end. This way, players can participate in the WCOOP no matter their skill level or bank roll. Amateurs and pros alike are sure to log online and use strategy and poker training to hopefully earn a tournament win.

Each day of the series is set to offer quality tournament gaming, with something for everyone. One tournament to be on the lookout for is Event #46. This tournament will have three levels of buy-in, including $5.50, $55 and $530. The best value is perhaps the $530 because players will be competing for $1.25 million in prize money. The low level is competing for $100k while the mid-level will have $400k up for grabs.

According to PokerStars…

the schedule is filled with several poker variants and tournament formats. In the mix are Stud, Omaha, NLHE, Turbos, 8-Max, 6-Max and more. Players will truly find something they can enjoy, be it a particular format or affordable buy-in level.

Platinum Passes On Offer:

During the 2018 WCOOP, PokerStars will also be offering up six Platinum Passes. Each pass is worth $30,000 and includes the $25,000 buy-in to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship as well as $2,000 for travel and expenses plus accommodations at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. This special event is set to take place in January of next year.
